 I thought nothing could be better than a coastal sunset, but now I'm not so sure.

Yesterday a few of us took a little afternoon trip to Chimney Rock . It was pouring rain the whole drive there, but the skies cleared out at just the right time. The sun even peaked out through all of the grey; it was beautiful. And there's just something about standing above the clouds that is pure magic 

(I can't get over it).

 A couple weeks ago, a few of us who studied at the field site on the Outer Banks went back to visit and give a presentation. When we were leaving, our incredible program director (and master gardner, truly) gave each of us a strawberry plant. 

It's simple and beautiful and I'm trying my best to keep it alive (I forgot to water it last week and freaked out, but luckily plants are pretty resilient things).

When we were sitting at the stoplight on our way back from church, my family made a snap decision to pull into MoJoe's for some Easter veggie burgers. It might not have been a traditional Easter meal, but it was beyond delicious. SO HAPPY that it's warm enough for outdoor meals.

a farmer's market feast

 I never cook when I'm at school, so this past weekend I wanted to cook while I could! A little lemon juice, olive oil, and Old Bay seasoning made for the perfect dinner of farmer's market veggies.

     This past weekend we went to the farmer's market for the first time this year. All that fresh produce made me super excited for summer. Also, a 21-pound turnip? Plants are crazy.
